Gavi DOCG di Gavi “Rovereto - Vignavecchia” |

A distinctively rich Gavi, boasting fragrances of minerals and ripe fruit, plus toasted hazelnut, honey, fresh bread crust, and apples, against an aromatic tapestry of coriander and other spices and a suggestive hint of dill and spring blossoms. Self confident and emphatic, Rovereto-Vignavecchia opens wide, developing an impressively velvet-smooth mouthfeel and full, rounded flavours, and concludes with an aromatic, tangy finish. Gavi DOCG “Pilin” |
A wine of superb character, thanks to the special manner of its production and barrel-ageing, Pilin exhibits a startling deep-gold hue, luminous and intense. Its rich, multi-layered bouquet exhibits elegant fruit and smooth nuances of vanilla that meld gradually into toasted hazelnut and almond, yielding to emphatic impressions of apricot and other fruit enlivened with pungent notes of aromatic spice. Full, fleshy, and satisfyingly fat in the mouth, it displays a mouth-watering minerality that binds everything together, then ends on a long-lingering finish. Enjoy it with the freshest of raw oysters, seafood, and prawns. Wonderful as well with veal, poultry, and rabbit, as well as any full-flavoured first course. After appropriate cellaring, it makes an exciting sipping wine, a vino da conversazione. Serve in tulip-shaped glass at 13°C. Sizes: 750ml. |
